Season 1 (2018) (S01)

anglais The first season did not start off very well in my view. The pilot didn’t put me off completely, but I was on the fence. It came with a number of annoying stereotypes of today’s (crazy) times, and I found the plot itself rather mediocre. But from the second episode it started to be a lot more fun, lasting until the finale (with the exception of the ninth episode), and I'm positive that I will watch the following seasons. ()

La Fin justifie les moyens (2018) (S01E01)

anglais I had high hopes for this series, especially with Christina Hendricks on board. However, the pilot episode left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It seemed to lean heavily on clichés – one of the main heroines had to be black, another one's daughter is a lesbian, and all men are pure evil (except for the black guy of course). While it wasn't terrible, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Three stars feels about right. ()

Problèmes d'argent (2018) (S01E02)

anglais The second episode was a step up from the pilot for me. Maybe it's because I was ready for the clichés this time around, or maybe it's because the plot had more pep and humor. Either way, things started to click, and I'm genuinely curious to see where the story goes next. Oh, and Christina Hendricks definitely adds some extra charm! ()

Borderline (2018) (S01E03)

anglais I'm really glad I didn't let the slightly shaky pilot episode throw me off. Sure, it's not exactly a mind-bender, but these three moms are doing a decent job of keeping me entertained. Plus, I couldn't help but notice that none of them have the typical fitness trainer figure — refreshingly different, and kudos to the creators for sidestepping that stereotype. ()

Bombe atomique (2018) (S01E04)

anglais The episode might not have been flawless, but it definitely scored some points with me. While I'm not exactly rooting for the criminals, I must say, I really admired the gangster's stand against bullies. That bit definitely brought a smile to my face. ()

Shopping (2018) (S01E05)

anglais The plot had a livelier pace, and Agent Turner's presence brought a welcome breath of fresh air, especially after that night spent in a dumpster. Halfway through the season, and I'm pretty satisfied so far. ()

Le Caméléon (2018) (S01E06)

anglais The plot keeps evolving, and in this episode, it leaned even further into humor, hitting the mark perfectly. I never thought I'd witness money laundering done Avon-style, but it added an extra layer of enjoyment. Easy-flowing, hilarious, and briskly paced. 4*+. ()

Sauce spéciale (2018) (S01E07)

anglais The creators are staying on track. The storyline remains straightforward, but the dramatic moments hit the mark for me, and I appreciate the humor woven throughout. However, I'm still scratching my head over why they cast a male actor in the role of a lesbian girl — it strikes me as rather odd. ()

Fermeture technique (2018) (S01E08)

anglais A decent episode. Throughout, I found myself quietly chuckling at the various schemes to rake in more cash. And the struggle with conscience? Well, it reminded me a bit of Don Quixote's tilting at windmills — valiant, but ultimately futile. ()

L'Été des requins (2018) (S01E09)

anglais Well, this episode felt like a bit of a slog. With forty-three minutes on the clock, it seemed like thirty-five of those were just filler. The creators are probably saving the best for the finale, but this was a bit too much for me. 3*- ()

Remix (2018) (S01E10)

anglais After the letdown of the previous episode, the finale was a welcome surprise. The storyline finally found its rhythm, keeping me engaged throughout without a dull moment in sight. And that ending! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Now I'm left eagerly anticipating the second season. ()

Season 2 (2019) (S02)

anglais The second season seemed considerably better than the first one for quite a while, but the creators ended up stumbling a couple of times, depriving themselves of a better rating. It's a shame, since I was greatly amused by most episodes, and I was hoping that it would keep up its excellent quality until the finale. Hopefully, it will improve in the third season, I wouldn't want it to spoil the fairly good impression of the series so far. ()

Travaux manuels (2019) (S02E01)

anglais While I wouldn't go as far as saying the first episode blew my mind, I can't really gripe about it either. The creators stuck to their usual standard here. Admittedly, the typical relationship drama didn't grab me as it usually does, often just slowing down the plot. However, the main storyline kept me entertained. The plan to rob the delivery van with the evidence was so hilariously flawed that I couldn't help but chuckle. ()

Ralentissez, des enfants jouent (2019) (S02E02)

anglais I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the ongoing relationship issues, the episode managed to hold my interest. However, I can't shake the feeling that the central trio should have planned their criminal activities more carefully. It seems like they're just getting deeper into debt. ()

Vous êtes bien sur la messagerie de Leslie Peterson (2019) (S02E03)

anglais The best episode so far. The creators really stepped up their game, delivering a pretty solid drama this time around. Although their attempt at building tension bordered on the comical, they more than made up for it with a hefty dose of black humor. Who knew cleaning up a dead body could be so much fun? 4*+ ()

Choisis ton poison (2019) (S02E04)

anglais I'm thoroughly enjoying the second season thus far. The storyline is refreshingly light, just as I anticipated, but the creators haven't lost their touch when it comes to humor — often on the darker side. They continue to churn out fresh plots and surprising twists, keeping me hooked. Despite the series not being particularly favorable towards men, I don't mind, especially when one of the favored women is Christina Hendricks. ()

Tout doit disparaître (2019) (S02E05)

anglais This time around, relationships took center stage, but surprisingly, it didn't hinder the main storyline's momentum. Agent Turner's investigation added a layer of tension, keeping the central trio on edge. Once again, the creators delivered plenty of thrills and entertainment. ()

Enlève ton pantalon (2019) (S02E06)

anglais Episode six is easily the best one in this season thus far. The plot took a darker turn, with humor taking a backseat, yet I still found myself thoroughly entertained. Additionally, it served as a reminder of how advanced the US is. While, usually, an airbag merely softens the impact, in the States, it comes with a dose of medication. ()

Le Doudou (2019) (S02E07)

anglais I have noticed that I have somehow started to enjoy the second season. Out of nowhere, I have become intrigued, I guess I will have to reflect on myself. However, the development of the last episodes by the creators turned out to be quite successful, and I simply had to appreciate it. I hope it will continue like this. ()

Thelma et Louise (2019) (S02E08)

anglais The atmosphere didn't quite hit the same high notes as the previous episodes. But in the grand scheme of things, it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. 4*+ ()
