The stories of four women – paramedic Daniela (Olga Bołądź) and doctors Beata (Agnieszka Dygant), Magda (Kasia Warnke) and Patricja (Marieta Żukowska) – play out against the backdrop of a hospital, which, through the lens of Patryk Vega, Poland’s most commercially successful director, reveals itself to be a deathtrap crowded with walking personifications of morbid cynicism and absurdity. This female foursome is complemented by scheming male protagonists who also lack all inhibitions, moral or otherwise. (Art Film Fest)

anglais Patryk Vega, hated abroad and beloved in the Czech Republic, has traded in the mafia for abortion, vaginal plastic surgery and mockery of pharmaceutical companies and he's at it again. Vega has shown that he can handle any genre and is not afraid to shove disgusting scenes everywhere. It's bizarre as hell, the scene where the birds fly in the hospital while the woman is giving birth and the doctor pulls the baby out by the leg was crossing perhaps all possible boundaries! There are close-ups of births, a lot of raunchy humour, and the female characters are perfect, their fates intertwine nicely. Very funny, cynical and disgusting. If you also like that kind of cocktail, go for it. Story***, Action>No, Humor****, Violence****, Entertainment****, Music***, Visuals****, Atmosphere***, Suspense***. 8/10. ()
