In Bushwick, New York, Lucy (Brittany Snow) steps off the subway and into a warzone. The city, it seems, is under attack and highly armed black-clad soldiers fill the streets. Faced with a flurry of bullets and destruction at every corner, Lucy takes refuge in a basement and meets Stupe (Dave Bautista), a burly ex-Marine. Discovering that the army are not all that they seem, the two must work together to find their way to safety in this timely, potent and fast-paced movie from the producer of The Raid. anglais There's nothing downright groundbreaking about the story, but I like how we, along with the characters, don't actually know what happened, and how gritty it is and how Dave Bautista's performance shows he's capable of more than just roles where he's primarily a comedic character. I am indeed intrigued by this rough struggle for life in the inner city. ()
