À Benrey, petite ville frontière entre le Texas et le Mexique, Jack Benteen rencontre bien des difficultés dans sa lutte contre le réseau de drogue monté par son ami d’enfance Cash Bailey. Jack reçoit l’aide d’un commando militaire, envoyé tout exprès par le Pentagone, groupe mercenaires commandé par l’impitoyable Hackett et exclusivement composé de soldats, anciens du Viêt-nam. En fait, Hackett contrevient aux ordres de ses supérieurs. Il souhaite reprendre à son compte le trafic de drogue de Cash. Bon gré mal gré, Jack se retrouve ainsi obligé de pactiser pour un temps avec Cash. Tandis que la ville devient le théâtre d’une bataille rangée entre trafiquants et mercenaires, les deux anciens amis vont enfin régler leurs différents. Seul à seul, ils s’affrontent en duel… (StudioCanal)
