anglais A thrilling spectacle, from which the remake borrowed more than I would have expected and improved it several times. I was also surprised at how brave and brutal this Ben Hur is. Particularly during a naval battle, unprecedented things happen, whether it's a head impaled on a sword or a ram with a slave tied to it. If it weren't for the rambling ending, where the gathering of the legions to help the king is unnecessarily entangled and the reunion with his mother and sister is a bit of a waste, I would have given it five stars.
