(Crunchyroll)

anglais At long last, there is a show with a great main male protagonist, not only in terms of size, size of heart, and intensity of emotions. Takeo is a cool guy, and you cannot help but root for him. His character is so original and fresh that it is a total blessing after all the bishies, generic "Takeshis", and male protagonists with the emotional range of a tree stump. Plus, when you are nearly six feet tall and muscular, easily dwarfing everyone around you, you understand certain things and can relate to the protagonist quite easily. Rinko Yamato may be a petite shy girl; however, she is very positive. I found her incredibly cute, plus she also tries, and that is even cuter. Makoto Sunakawa (Suna) is probably not gay; however, he is exactly an example of a classic bored playboy. He has no emotions and leaves most of the girls around in the shade, and this is the type that dominates a lot of shoujo releases; he plays second fiddle and is great. Then there is Suna’s sister, and I happen to be fond of her as well. In other words, I think the characters are great. The narrative feels straightforward and is easy to understand, but it hardly goes anywhere, and apart from the love story, nothing happens. The most interesting thing is that I did not mind it and looked forward to each new episode, so My Love Story!! has maintained the highest rating because this is simply a beautiful show. Furthermore, as probably the more astute among you have understood, the subject matter is quite close to my heart. 9/10. ()

anglais What I really liked about this Shōjo is that we go through the “I like her but she surely doesn't like me - I like him but he surely doesn't like me" cycle at the beginning, but then it manages to break free and we get to watch a relationship between two naive high school kids. And their wise "daddy" Sun. This is what made it different for me from those other Shōjos where professing and accepting love takes a whole 24 episodes. Of course it's a bit cliched, but it didn't matter here because everything was used in moderation, except for Takeo's size, which was a great fun element. A good diversion that doesn't offend. A weaker 4 stars. ()
