At first, I wondered if someone was pulling my leg, and if this was really the famous Tarzan film because the visual effects were quite terrible. However, it turned out that the animal work here is actually very good, and for example, the fight with the lion looks beautifully believable. Maureen O'Sullivan, however, is terribly shrill.
