Suède, années 70. Le commissaire Nyman, figure controversée de la police suédoise, malade, est retrouvé égorgé dans sa chambre d’hôpital. Le commissaire Beck est chargé de l’enquête. Now that's what I call a well-made whodunit. And a pretty apt ending, too. The subject itself has something to it. The brutal scene in the hospital, which starts the sequence of events, will probably stay in my memory for a long time, thanks to the excellent work with suspense. Although it is basically a routine investigation, the story never gets boring, and even the last, significantly more action-packed third of the movie feels very realistic and authentic. I also really like the portrayal of the police officers as ordinary flesh-and-blood people, because obviously none of them are the intrepid and savvy James Bond-style superheroes. (80%)
