Gentil mais peureux, Michel est l'employé d'une compagnie d'assistance aux vacanciers en détresse. Moderne, sa fiancée Isabelle est hotesse de l'air. Métier qui terrorise son fiancé. En gage d'amour, Isabelle quitte cette situation et se recycle dans la petite agence de voyages de son amie Sophia. Isabelle n'ose pas avouer à Michel qu'elle doit encore quelques vols à sa compagnie. Elle compte sur Sophia pour couvrir ses absences. Michel doit, quant à lui, faire face à un problème semblable. A court de personnel pendant l'été, le directeur le contraint à accepter une mission en Tunisie. Il ne dit rien à Isabelle, sa mère et son copain le couvrent aux yeux de sa fiancée. Dès ce moment, Michel et isabelle vont constamment se trouver en situation fausse. (AMLF)

How long has it been since you laughed so hard it made you cry? It hasn’t happened to me in a long time. But it actually happens to me quite often with French movies, which is quite strange. The filmmakers in the 1970’s and 1980’s had something that always manages to make me happy even 40 years later. Coluche portrays an insurance salesman who travels the world and experiences situation that I would never even think of even if I was tasked with writing the screenplay for the best comedy film ever and the producer was aiming his shotgun at me all the time. Coluche is an insurance salesman, an extremist and also a bit of a madman and neurotic. Thanks to that, scenes are created that I will be glad to watch again whenever I can. And that’s pretty much the best ad for a comedy, don’t you think?
