anglais No One Lives didn’t take much intellect, at least it was not boring. Putting the characters on a chessboard at the beginning was not a bad idea (the revenge of a psychopath on a gang of criminals) and some of the motifs are interesting (the relationship between the psychopath and his victims), but after some time, all the originality drowns in blood. I won’t cry over that, though, given the circumnstances, this was never going to be a masterpiece – the bad actors (the members of the gang) make the film a self-parody at times. ()

anglais I only watched No One Lives because of Luke Evans in the lead and as far as the story goes, it looked like a total flop. And a total flop it was, to many people. Because Luke Evans was a psychopathnon grata. But the movie didn’t want to lure people in with an interesting thriller plot twist, but rather with its gore shots of many future cadavers, which didn’t speak to me at all. And since it was about those cadavers, I can’t rate it any higher than two stars. ()
