anglais An incredibly nice family movie with loads of jokes, feelings, pop-culture references for knowledgeable viewers, and a geyser of original ideas, together with the self-awareness of being in a movie (driving on a map, etc.). The Muppets are a universal medicine against bad mood and it should work on everyone. I appeal to parents to stop taking their kids to the cinema for crap like High School Musical, Twilight, or the fairytales of Zdeňek Troška, and instead take them to movies like The Muppets – happy, cute, nice, funny and tasteful. anglais I haven’t really seen that much of Muppets throughout my childhood. It’s true that I was watching Sesame Street every now and then, but I spent most of my time watching Star Trek, Stargate, The Little Mole or Hey, Mister, Let's Play. In any case, I thought it was delightful that America can find such a high number of fans who want to revive this kids’ show. What’s more, this movie is incredibly pleasant and many times, it’s honest, light-hearted fun. I know that Jason Segel who worked on a big part of the movie did a lot here. He’s charismatic. It’s obvious that he does what he does out of pure love for children and this movie is the shining example. The Muppets won’t mean much to us, Czechs, but the movie is still very pleasant and I’m glad I gave it chance. ()

anglais A movie packed with emotions. Sadness, happiness, fear and joy... Muppets. Songs. A jaunt back to the years when I had no other worries than what was going to be on TV. I am a Muppet of a Man... ()

anglais Jason Segel and Amy Adams are very goofy and rarely funny, not to mention their musical performances (the first one is terrible), the script repeats too many cues like "the character knows he's in a movie, so he says something about the budget, another says something about the runtime, another about a crucial moment", and it all gets old quite soon... At least the Muppets are good and irresistible in moments when they go on a full-on rampage (like cleaning the theatre). But their human teammates keep screwing up, and the only ones who can keep up with the puppets are Jack Black and Zach Galifianakis. Occasional appearances by various star(s) with the honorable exception of Jim Parsons only distract.... It's not a total bust, but I was expecting to have more fun. ()

anglais "Muppets" are not something that is very well-known and popular here. Instead, we are more familiar with "Sesame Street," which is a Canadian show. The Muppets are not much different. In America, it is a television treasure, but it doesn't really affect us much. Well, it affected me. I enjoyed the film also because Jason Segel was in it, who is simply great and will only get better. But above all, the relaxed connection between our world and the world of the Muppets works, and it is all complemented by great music and catchy songs. If Americans are good at something, it's musicals. We still have huge gaps in that area. Sometimes silly, sometimes entertaining, for children, but also a lot for adults. A nice story that won't offend, but probably won't excite us that much either. This is where my love for American culture is apparent.
