In the end, I did enjoy it after all, and I had a good time watching this movie, just as I expected. I was surprised by how good the gore is here, for example, the shotgun blast is filmed wonderfully and the hand-breaking scene is definitely not badly shot either. I liked this about the film, it's something that grabs you. So, for me, "The Curse of Downers Grove" may not stand out in any significant way, but it plays it safe.
