(Universal International FR)

anglais A very dry comedy, but I think that's intentional. At first, it actually looks more like a comedy drama full of comedic actors. But when it comes to the robbery (and the main characters' plan is definitely not masterful, I guess our distributor must have dreamt something) and especially the escapade on the rope, it is fun. Alan Alda, Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy are equally entertaining, I wasn't particularly offended by the direction either and I liked Beck's music a lot. Plus, I'm glad the script dispensed with any bodily fluids or other grossness. Three and a half. ()

anglais The economic crisis left Americans with very conflicting impressions of how strong their economy actually is. Those Wall Street cool guys suddenly - again - became hyenas, who do not deserve admiration but anger. It was about time for another film to appear, besides the continuation of the legendary film "Wall Street". "Tower Heist" is one of those hits. Just mention the cast - Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda - and it becomes clear that it's a comedy. However, it is a comedy with strong dramatic foundations. After all, losing all your money bothers, even though it is sung differently in that song. And so the hotel employee decides to join other people in stealing from the man who stole from them. The broker is played by Alan Alda, who is always in great shape. One wonders if Alan Alda's age and his slight resemblance to Rupert Murdoch are purely coincidental. The topic is topical, with good performances, even in the case of Eddie Murphy, who shows that he still has what it takes to be a comedy star, he just needs to choose better movies. The group of thieves works well, Casey Affleck showed that he is not inferior in the genre and that he will be as good an actor as his brother is a director. He has surpassed him in acting.
