Sennentuntschi

Vu dans le cadre du « Challenge Tour 2015 : 30 jours de cinéma mondial ». Film numéro 21 – Suisse. Après le flop allemand et le niveau moyen de l’Autriche, je devais donner une autre chance à mes chers pays germanophones et ça s'est avéré être un pari gagnant. Ce film m’a procuré une excellente expérience horrifique et, franchement, pour son genre, je ne peux que lui décerner la note maximale. Les Suisses ont réussi à mettre en place une ambiance correctement tendue et effrayante et, bien que j’ai visionné ça en plein jour dans un train, j’ai eu mal à l’âme. Heureusement, personne n’était assis derrière moi, donc je n’avais pas à craindre qu’on ne m’étrangle. Nicholas Ofczarek m’avait déjà plu avec son rôle de diable dans Jesus liebt mich et voilà qu’il brille à nouveau, mais cette fois-ci dans une position complètement différente. Et le fait que ce soit l’actrice préférée de Catherine Breillat qui incarne le rôle principal est an vrai coup de maître ! La troisième fois était donc la bonne. (24/04/2015)

I considered a third star, but it would have been for the Alps rather than the film itself. Sennentuntschi is about some sort of mountain legend of a girl brought to life by the Devil that three Alpine farmers had put together for their own pleasure. Ideally, the viewer should wonder whether the film’s main character is the legendary figure, another supernatural creature, or a normal homo sapiens-sapiens who’s not playing with a full deck. In theory, I’m a target viewer because I like this kind of premise, but I watched most of the film without much interest; I loved the landscape, but I didn’t get any significant emotions. The last “shocking” twist was surprising in its pointlessness. With this film, Switzerland is not going to get among the major countries in the genre :) (07/07/2011)

The Swiss horror film "The Shepherd's Doll" is definitely worth attention and should not be missed by horror fans. This is a very brutal fairytale about a doll that gets lost, and everyone who encounters her would rather wish she was never found. However, the viewer can at least experience a very intense spectacle that will resonate in their head for some time. This is something a good film should be able to handle. (12/11/2015)
