An illustrious example of how to make a Nordic-style heist. At times it is actually a methodical reconstruction of a case, whilst other times Erik Skjoldbjærg uses genre tweaks with affection, especially slow motion and a spectacular edit. The atmosphere is civil, there are no cool things and twists - yet I watched Hold Up with fascination. Pure, cold and surgical work with documentary value, but purely cinematic charge.
