The American movie YellowBrickRoad simply proves that the found footage genre is outdated in the view of most movie makers. They can not make anything at least a little bit different, a little bit new, a little bit original, at least in terms of the methods used to make such a movie. So YellowBrickRoad follows the standard temple for this kind of movie and does not bring anything new to the table.

The trailer caught my attention some time ago, but now I don’t know how it could happen. This film is incredibly boring, it doesn’t have any interesting scenes or tension. The premise is not entirely pointless, though, it could work, for instance, in the X-Flies (the episodes where Mulder and Scully are cut off from the world were always the best, and YellowBrickRoad is just that, but wobbly in every sense).
