At the beginning, they workover Tony the same way as Jesus back then, so he’s trying to get over it for the first half of the movie, which means that the frequent fighting of part two is lacking here. And that’s a big problem. The production design is spectacular, the battles, when they actually take place, are well worth it (except the final one with the “Crow" which was embarrassingly lame) and the music is also worth a listen. Unfortunately that is not enough to make a good movie. There is barely any continuity within the plot and the story is also not that interesting most of the time. Let’s hope that one day Tony Jaa is going to return the way we loved him, and it will be in a contemporary setting. I don’t understand it, your majesty.
