Le jeune Griff est employé de bureau. Il est socialement un peu inapte, il faut l'avouer. Mais la nuit tombée, il se transforme en super-héro masqué, prêt à défendre son quartier des malfrats. Son grand frère Tim a récemment emménagé en ville pour veiller sur lui. A côté de son cadet excentrique, il fait plutôt figure d'aîné coincé et conventionnel. En tout cas, sa petite amie Melody semble plutôt sur la même longueur d'onde que Griff. Elle tombe d'ailleurs rapidement sous son charme et, pour que son justicier ne soit plus la cible de la moquerie des autres, lui fabrique une combinaison d'homme invisible. Griff was quite peculiar, and I mean both the film and the character. It took me a while before I was able to fully distinguish between fantasy and reality. The filmmakers did a great job of confusing me, I have to give them credit for that. The film has a little bit of everything; a little bit of comedy, a little bit of drama, and a little bit of romance, none of which dominates over everything else. It’s probably the reason why I’m not giving it a higher rating. I think that much more could have been gotten out of the premise, and it feels as if the filmmakers got stuck about halfway through. The film is as odd as the two main characters, and I approached it from two points of view. On the one hand, it shows what it’s like when a person who lives beyond reality is truly understood. On the other, it answers the question as to why it’s not a good idea for two people to start a relationship when both of them have a problem with an addiction of some sort. Finally, I can't help but comment on Maeve Dermody. In the past, I would have called her a beautiful, sexy woman, but that's not allowed anymore, so I won't do that. / Lesson learned: If you're trying to walk through a wall, don't do it with a running start.
