La situation se dégrade pour Rick et ses compagnons, qui ne peuvent s'échapper du Terminus. Gareth et sa bande n'ont pas l'intention de les laisser partir. Malgré tout, à force de ruse, le petit groupe parvient à reprendre la route. Au cours de leur fuite, les survivants croisent un pasteur, prêt à les accueillir dans son église. Bob y trouve aussi refuge. Il a été gravement blessé. Il a perdu une jambe et un zombie l'a mordu. Plus tard, Eugene tente de rejoindre un laboratoire où il pense pouvoir mettre au point un remède capable d'enrayer l'épidémie. En attendant, tous cherchent à se rendre à Alexandria. (Groupe Canal+)

Season 5 wasn't bad, I'm just annoyed by certain issues that appear in every season: episodes that serve no purpose other than to stretch out the plot, nonfunctional psychoanalyzing, or straight-up moralizing. What I liked in both Season 4 and Season 5 was the group around Sergeant Ford. Those three were great. It was clear that things would get tense in Terminus, but I didn’t expect their diet to be so unpalatable. The excellently handled season finale got me excited for Season 6.

The fifth season of The Walking Dead is an improvement for me over season four, although certainly not to the extent that I am as excited about the show as I am about its comic book counterpart. It seems to keep relentlessly going, although some development stays true to the comics to a certain extent. However, the show goes its own way as well, and on the one hand, that is good, but on the other hand, I just often find it quite tedious.
