(Walt Disney Company France)

anglais I didn’t buy it for a second, lol! A very mainstream horror comedy (I feel like writing horror in quote marks) aimed mostly at people who are not very used to horror. The remake differs quite a lot from the original Fright Night, which I would usually rate positively (I don’t like watching the same stuff in a different jacket), but unfortunately, it doesn’t have anything that I can rate very positively. Maybe Colin Farrell deserves a little thumbs up, but to be honest, his character doesn’t fit too much into “horror” (and here you have the quote marks), he looks more like a metrosexual homosexual, instead of a blood-thirsty beast, which is bad. 5/10 immediately after watching (and basically only because of the craftsmanship), but it’s going down with time. PS: I haven’t seen special effects this ugly in a long time. PS: The haters of the prequel of The Thing should have a go at this one… ()

anglais Light-hearted entertainment with a pinch of fear and mystery. Original subject matter (because I haven’t seen the original Fright Night) with the weirdo neighbor who pisses everybody off has great potential and it made quite good use of. Farrell enjoys the role of vampire Jerry and this makes the movie one class better. I was also pleased to see David Tennant. Sometimes perhaps over the top effects, but a very good musical main theme. That’s for werewolves. ()
