Tout le monde sait que les cigognes apportent les bébés, mais où diable les trouvent-elles ? La réponse est : tout là-haut dans la stratosphère. C'est là que le peuple des nuages sculpte les bébés à partir des nuages et leur donne vie. Gus, un nuage gris solitaire et manquant de confiance en lui, est passé maître dans la création de bébés "dangereux". Crocodiles, porcs-épics, béliers et autres, les créations de Gus sont de petits chefs-d'oeuvre, mais elles posent de sérieuses difficultés à son fidèle associé-livreur, la cigogne Peck. Plus le temps passe, plus les bébés fabriqués par Gus sont turbulents, et plus le travail de Peck se complique. Peck parviendra-t-il à mettre les choses au point avec son ami et à livrer sa plus dangereuse cargaison ? (texte officiel du distributeur)

Maybe it's simple, infantile, awkward and God knows what else, but on the other hand it's imaginative (what does a cloud do when it cries - sure, it starts to rain) and so beautifully made that I just have to give it four stars. Pixar has better shorts (my favorite is the band one screened before Ratatouille), but this is so cute... Yeah, four stars and rightfully so.

One of my favorite, if not the favorite, short film from Pixar. It has strong emotions, it's entertaining, it's moving, there are great ideas, wordless grotesque depiction, it has a happy ending, which is still not that happy and rather bittersweet. And is it even worth mentioning how high-quality the graphics are? Excellent characters. The wordless animation just shows how capable Pixar is.

This is my absolute favorite Pixar short. Really brilliant idea with the clouds that make babies and puppies. When suddenly a sad cloud appears who produces hedgehogs, sharks, and alligators. But luckily he has a loyal stork who will do everything he can to deliver the baby... touching, beautiful, amazing.

I have no words. An absolutely amazing short that clearly reflects the genius of Pixar. Undying friendship is something that has been depicted many times before, but never in such a magical, touching and wordless way!
