anglais A contraceptive justification of vegetarianism. Jordon Ladd acts his heart out, the screenplay certainly doesn’t avoid controversial topics, but I got the impression that Paul Solet doesn’t know how to handle the tense atmosphere and so it sometimes becomes boring, so it would have been better if considerably shorter. If you expect an intimate, psychological good mood drain, you might not be disappointed. ()

anglais I expected a thicker atmosphere and a better film overall. At the beginning, Grace is pretty decent, but from a certain point forward the seriousness goes to hell, I think it is when something makes Madeline put animal blood into the baby’s bottle for the first time. It’s impossible to believe that this (which could only be an accident and not a manifestation of Grace’s blood lust) is something a real mother would ever think of doing. Since it can’t be taken seriously, the film should at least have pace or be entertaining in a way that would manage to hold your attention. That’s not the case, it drags unbelievably and without any joke to be found – though, to be fair, the very last scene made me burst out in laughter. In any case, the film does have an atmosphere and it’s also tense in its own way, so I think three stars is appropriate. PS: Am I the only one who gets pissed off when a TV is on in a film and “by chance” shows something that happens to be very relevant to the story? ()
