Papua New Guinea, north of Australia, is inhabited by more than 900 tribes, each with its own culture and language. Since the beginning of the century, western missionaries from a hundred denomatires have been competing to evangelize the tribes of the Highlands. The Hulis, who saw the first White men arriving in 1955, are one of the few not yet completely converted. (One World)
