Il revient s'installer en ville, comme barbier sous le pseudonyme de Sweeney Todd. Bientôt, des corps découpés sont retrouvés dans Fleet River. anglais Let me introduce the esteemed Mister Sweeney Todd. You may come across him on Broadway, or in an (over)stylized form by Master Burton, but also in this adaptation of the original folk story from the BBC. The success of Mr. Todd lies mainly in two aspects. The atmosphere and the quality of acting. The first mentioned was mastered perfectly not only because of the background music. And just looking at the cast there is no need to comment on the second. The movie as a whole would never hold together if it weren’t for Ray Winstone in the role of the good old barber. It might take a while until you learn to like his “psychotic attacks", but it’s only a question of time. Then you can just get comfortable in your chair and entrust yourself to his macabre care. No need to worry, he’ll take good care of you. His clientele could tell you. If only they could. ()
