James Cagney in another great role, showing that he could easily play a completely normal character, but circumstances don't allow it and he has to get into the role of a rogue, whom you still root for, and in the end, you'll have to endure his fate. It's a shame that it's not a bit more interesting in terms of the screenplay, and there's also a lack of good female performances, but Cagney and ultimately Bogart make up for it. ()
