Driver plays Dahlia Malloy, a wife and mother who at the start of the series has just been released from prison for a crime her husband, conman Wayne (Eddie Izzard) committed. Understandably bitter, Dahlia self-medicates and steals to protect her children, ending up on the run from a scary crew of extended family. When a crazy coincidence gives Wayne and Dahlia the keys to a new life and a new identity, they seize it, mistakenly figuring life in the suburbs will be a piece of cake. (FX Network)

Une série intelligente, satirique et humoristique sur une famille américaine pauvre qui déménage "par erreur" dans un quartier de millionnaires. Pas de jolis visages de séries télévisées, ni d'anges sans squelette dans le placard. Cette famille a des squelettes à foison. Parfois diablement sérieux, parfois follement délirant, parfois même plein d'action. Et toujours frais. La musique de Toby Chu rappelle dans les passages sérieux Gustavo Santaolalla et dans les comiques Harry Gregson-Williams. Un rôle génial pour Minnie Driver, qui habituellement ne me convient nulle part et que je n'aime pas beaucoup.

An interesting series that revolves around a family of nomads who, thanks to a series of coincidences and the incredible audacity of the father as the head of the clan, exchange identities and pretend to be a high-class family of snobbish lawyers. It's a good idea, with an attractive setting and motifs, but the potential was greater than this and the series lacks the polished screenplay that I appreciated in Breaking Bad. Otherwise, it is a series that offers the viewer black humor and criticism of the social layer into which outsiders cunningly penetrated. Overall impression: 65%.
