Although I adore John Wayne, there's nothing to be done about it, but I simply have a feeling that he was at the peak of his career his whole life. Here, at the end of his life and his illustrious and overly long career, he shows that even action films of the 70s were not foreign to him. He fits in well here, as an aging yet still tough hero. It's sufficiently cool, even during the chase scenes. It may not be perfectly original in the genre, but it has a solid story, and Duke gives it charm.
