Jane Emelin, jeune décoratrice d'intérieur, hérite du bail de sa tante, victime d'une chute mortelle dans les escaliers de son immeuble de Manhattan, où celle-ci occupait un coquet deux-pièces. Alléchée par le faible montant du loyer, elle décide d'y emménager. The American-Canadian movie The Fourth Floor was dominated primarily by the performance of Juliette Lewis. She keeps you entertained and watching the whole time because you fear something bad will happen to her, and you want her to stand up to the evil, whatever form it takes. Well, she does exactly that. Unfortunately, in other respects, The Fourth Floor does not go beyond the average suspense thriller despite the fact it is not that bad.
