L'équipe de Base-ball de Seïdo High désire plus que tout remporter le légendaire tournoi de baseball junior, mais pour cela, il va falloire affronter l'équipe Gedo High, composée de zombies arracheurs de têtes. Afin d'avoir ses chances, l'équipe de Seïdo engage une nouvelle recrue, Jubei Yakyû. Une bataille à mort va alors commencer sur le terrain de Base-ball. (texte officiel du distributeur)

An excellent movie that parodies and pushes to the extreme all the clichés of sports movies, and others as well. All the twists and turns, the behavior of the character, the resurrections, the reunions, the friendships, the fights, not to mention the baseball... The movie gets more and more extreme and absurd as time goes on. Anyone who takes it seriously and who doesn't like absurdist humor won't enjoy it, but if you approach it the way the film approaches itself, you will. It’s one of the better pieces in its bracket.

Don't expect great art from this film, just be prepared that there are specific rules that you may or may not accept. They're just rules about what's possible and what's not. For me, this was fun, and I'm realizing that Japanese people with their peculiar mentality and sense of humor are quite close to me. This is like a crazy kids' show, just in a really gritty and occasionally even horror-like guise, but it's still fun.
