Prelude: Dog Star Man

Prelude is the opening film in a series of short experimental films in which Brakhage subjected the film material to physical and chemical manipulation. In this intimate diary, the female body is like unexposed film and its abstracted parts flow into the disintegrating emulsion. Brakhage seems to infiltrate the body and its nudity.
