Raginski worked on The Cathedral by himself for three years. It is a dreamlike story about a man, who finds the mysterious cathedral on the remote planet. The cathedral becomes alive when first sunbeams fall on the building. The film is based on the short fantasy story written by Jacek Dukaj. It was nominated to the Oscar award. anglais A beautifully atmospheric short precisely combining the musical component working with a choir with visually stunning otherworldly visuals, where every second is charged with anticipation, mystery, and fateful choice. It is actually a short fantasy with mysterious content. The film, while stunning visually, only hints at having a plot, allowing for multiple alternative interpretations of what is seen. Overall impression: 90%. ()
