Apart from all the wolf's extra funny escapades, which usually end with a big punch in the snout, what's very interesting about this short is the cast of names of the main characters. Ralph is not called a wolf this time, but rather a dog, and the beaten wolf is George. Everything comes out in the end, when both heroes finish their shift and take turns punching out with their colleagues... Fred and Sam. Why this is so remains a great animated mystery.
