When Goodhap is discovered missing, something does not add up. Barak is agitated by the slow pace of the investigation and moves to hurry it along, but Shardlake refuses to compromise the truth. The discovery of the murder weapon prompts Shardlake to have the monastery pond drained to reveal another secret. As Barak and Alice confess their feelings for each other, Shardlake sets out for London to trace the provenance of the murder weapon, where an unwelcome surprise awaits him. (Hulu)
