anglais A mature, depressing cartoon for adults. A weird combination? Yes, and Disney must have turned in his grave over this. In the very first scene, Plague Dogs shows you that this won’t be your usual optimistic tale about two cute little doggies, but rather about the harsh life of two dogs on the run from a testing laboratory, out in the wilds. No food and no hope; just them and their unmerciful behavior versus the cruel world around them. Not even a hint of hope. They simply survive on day-to-day basis, “out of the frying pan, into the fire" style. This makes it all the more powerful, with excellent rise in tension up until the perfect ending. Although the animation has long since been surpassed, you can tell that it was made with tender love and care. The central trio are just really likeable. But I wouldn’t let the kids watch it. ()
