(Metropolitan FilmExport)

anglais Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek are very tolerable actors, but mainly the former chooses roles that are... well, rather uninteresting. He will probably never be James Bond again, as he is already considered old according to Hollywood rules, but since he is still quite good-looking, he will gladly play in a movie where he can show that he can still be an interesting object for women. True, "After the Sunset" is already a film that is eight years old, but it doesn't rely on anything else. Well, to be precise, it doesn't rely on anything else except for Pierce Brosnan's sex appeal and Salma Hayek's beauty. I must say that I have a weakness for her, which is also the reason why I give the film some credit. Otherwise, it is a horribly predictable film that tries to complicate the plot with completely unnecessary detours and wants to appear as a very original story, a heist film in the style of "Ocean's Eleven". It doesn't come close to achieving that and it never will. There is actually nothing at stake here, just whether the retired thief decides to get involved or not. His internal struggle doesn't matter to us, we are not interested. The only thing that truly grabs our attention is the hope that Salma will come on the scene with even fewer clothes. Woody Harrelson plays his usual comedic character, the fool who may actually be a little smarter than he seems at first glance.
