In the movie, you can clearly see how hard it tries to be funny, to maintain some of the charm from the previous parts, but it just doesn't succeed. There is an effort for some special effects, but it can't be compared to the first two parts. It is very weak overall. The fourth part definitely sounds the worst compared to the others, mainly because there wasn't much to say about the third one anymore. The creators sometimes simply don't know when to stop. They often miss the right moment by a long shot.
