Three decades after the nuclear explosion, almost everything has been said about this ecological and sanitary disaster that made Pripiat a part of History. How did the greatest industrial disaster change the course of History, disrupt global geopolitics and, directly or indirectly, redistribute the balances and power relations of the twentieth century? À l’image de nombreux documentaires télévisés français, ce film pâtit de sa durée restreinte. Il n’est pas possible, en moins d’une heure, de présenter le tableau de ces événements historiques marquants dans son intégralité. Il faudrait pour cela au minimum un long-métrage. Pour ces raisons, le film français de 2006 La bataille de Tchernobyl reste à ce jour inégalé.
