1944. At the end of the war ensign Bojtár gets from the captivity of the partisans into that of the Hungarian Nazi and he escapes at the price of a quasi-murder. He has to hide, the more so because his victim did not die and searches for him. Bojtár is lured with the help of his friend from his hiding place and is executed. He leaves the lesson of his life to his son: violence provokes violence. 1956. Anti participates actively in the revolution but he is also faithful to the spirit of his father. His love is killed by a bullet during a rescue operation. Anti wants to face the murderer, and his grandfather comes for him in vain, he would not go back to his home village. Finally the grandfather can only bring his dead body home. (texte officiel du distributeur)
