Pokušení paní Antonie

Unfortunately, it's weak. The promising one-woman-show of Antonia Nedošínská, whose blood is being drunk by the servant Cyril and the complaining cock, is slowly killed by a long and empty plot full of dialogue about nothing and superfluous songs, as well as by the unbearably inappropriate casting of Jiří Plachý and Jaroslav Gleich - you could not find more unsympathetic seladons. Lída Baarová (who a year earlier had shone as the girl with the devil in her body) hardly got a chance to do anything for the amount of time she spent in the film. (30/01/2016)
