An attempt at a modern version of an Anglo-Saxon fairy tale, which ultimately feels quite awkward. It's a family film, but I can't figure out who in the family it might actually appeal to. It's too mature for children and too dull for older viewers. Even the presence of a few familiar faces doesn't help, as there's nothing substantial for them to do. It's a film suited for a really boring, rainy afternoon. Overall impression: 35%. ()
