Innocent (2021)

anglais I’ll admit that I preferred the first half of the series. It kept coming up with new mysteries without providing answers to them. In the second half, things were explained in a way that was too dumbed-down for my taste. Plus, as the story progressed, various logical holes started to appear, which didn’t do the show any favors. Despite these issues, I had a good time and don’t regret watching it. You can really tell when the writer gets along with the director:-) ()

Episode 1 (2021) (E01)

anglais Oriol Paulo is a guarantee of quality in my book. While the plot of the first episode wasn't bursting with wild action, it did have a fantastic atmosphere and plenty of quiet tension. So far, I'm thoroughly satisfied. 4*+ ()

Episode 2 (2021) (E02)

anglais Well, the creators really nailed it. I'm on the second episode and it feels like I've jumped into a whole new series, but in the best way possible. The only link between the two episodes is their very end, and I love it. Once again, the creators have limited the action scenes to the absolute minimum and instead focused on creating a gripping atmosphere and a story that keeps you on your toes. The only thing that threw me off was how Alexandra Jiménez seems to neglect basic hygiene in this role. That's not the Alexandra I know! ()

Episode 3 (2021) (E03)

anglais The creators are really hitting their stride with this series. Each episode has a clearly-established introduction, which I find quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is still powerful. It's clear that both the private and police investigations, as well as the overall story, are picking up speed. With this kind of momentum, getting bored is not an option. ()

Episode 4 (2021) (E04)

anglais The plot was unfolding quite intriguingly, but I found myself a tad disappointed by the major revelation, which, truth be told, didn't catch me off guard. As the series hits its midpoint, the overarching story is starting to take shape, and I'm fairly confident I'll be enjoying it right through to the end. It's just a shame there's so much explaining. 5*- ()

Episode 5 (2021) (E05)

anglais If the entire episode had solely delved into Olivia's recollections of Aníbal's business, I might have given it a solid five stars. However, there were moments where the logic seemed a bit muddled, and certain details were explained yet again, which I've been aware of for some time. The delightful mystery I enjoyed so much is slowly fading from the story. ()

Episode 6 (2021) (E06)

anglais In the sixth episode, the creators opted for a full-on action-packed approach, and it felt a bit off. There was a lot of shooting, reminiscent of scenes from Verdun, and despite the absence of extended magazines, they seemed to fire endlessly without reloading. I could overlook that, but the peculiarities surrounding the escape of both fugitives were a bit too much for me. 4*- ()

Episode 7 (2021) (E07)

anglais After feeling a bit let down by the sixth episode, the seventh one came to the rescue and lifted my spirits. Sure, there were some missteps, big and small, but the plot regained that mysterious touch that was lacking before. With what the story has unveiled so far, I'm starting to have serious doubts about how the creators will manage to wrap it all up. ()

Episode 8 (2021) (E08)

anglais Oh well. My fears were realized, and the finale left me quite disappointed. While the screenwriter deftly toyed with the story and the audience in other episodes, the conclusion turned out to be a bizarre and hardly believable hybrid between a thriller and pretentious nonsense. It's a shame the ending didn't live up to the rest of the series; it certainly deserved better. ()
