Alley Tramp fits quite nicely into Herschell's body of work, which I consider to be much richer than I initially imagined when I first encountered his early gore films. The creator shows that he went his own way; it was a B-movie path, but there are still those, even today, after more than forty years, who appreciate his work. I am one of them.
