The second film by Martin Scorsese from his early days. A short story about the rise of a gangster who reminisces about his life. It is more inclined towards a comedic tone and it is evident that Scorsese was fond of elements of grotesque, but at the same time it proves that he is capable of telling a story and capturing interesting moments even on a small scale. Take a look at what the master's work looked like in his beginnings. Maybe it will inspire you.
