Max Varga owns a private company whose business is to injure persons upon orders from contracting authorities. However, the specified subject disappears durig one such action. A desperate struggle with time begins, in which Max cannot disappoint his client, Lola Lieberman, and at the same time he enters into a dispute with his colleague Tom Karloff… The short film of Michal Starý, who graduated from the Film Academy of Miroslav Ondricek in Pisek , deals with the moral decline of a man who had long been building evil around him until it began to devour him. Thematically and stylistically, the film refers to film noir conventions, but the creative intent was to enrich known visual elements (such as low-key lighting and biased image compositions) using techniques and elements not typical in classic noir films, such as hand-held camera work and electronic music.
