It is the summer of 1952. Three years have passed since the events of Season One, and much has changed in Kozyrev's work. An anti-gangster squad has been formed at the Petrovsky Department of Internal Affairs, and Kozyrev has been appointed its head. The criminal gang also has a new 'supervisor' replacing Chaly - Gangrene, Chaly's exact opposite, is greedy, merciless and cruel. Meanwhile, Pavlivker has been unexpectedly released from the Gulag camp, acquitted, restored to service and promoted to a senior position at the Ministry of State Security. At some moment Kozyrev finds himself in prison after falling victim of a trap set by crafty Pavlivker. Chaly double- crosses Gangrene and removes him from his position of 'supervisor'. With his help Kozyrev, Bazhenin and Grunin, their detective friend from the Moscow Crime Investigation Department, are finally able to expose and destroy Pavlivker's hellish game. (Star Media)
