Mr. Fowler, Brigadier chef

The first series gets five stars and I doubt the second will change that. Rowan Atkinson in full force could not disappoint me. I probably can't pick the best episode, but the memorable moments will definitely include the persuasion of the wanting to commit suicide, the night shift scramble, the disarming of the bank robbers in gorilla masks, the tourist trip with the delinquents, Inspector Fowler in a Peter Pan crocodile costume, the arrest of the very dangerous Christmas carolers... And of course there was much more.____P.S. The second series did not disappoint. Inspector Fowler demonstrating a tree being occupied by Constable Goody demonstrating a keen environmentalist demonstrator brought me to tears. And the final episode was beautiful.____P.P.S. The series could have easily been called Blueadder. (23/09/2011)

I’m not a huge fan of Mr. Bean but I do like Rowan Atkinson. I prefer him when he’s speaking rather than goofing around so Black Adder and The Thin Blue Line are right up my alley. Besides Rowan Atkinson, another actor who stands out is the excellent David Haig. The series is full of dry and intelligent English/British humor, and I love watching it repeatedly. (02/08/2016)
