Partying with Communists

Starlet Daphne Dayes is the face of Bellmont Studios in 1950s Hollywood, but recent heir to the studio, Richard Berns, believes he deserves more than the empire that his father built for him. When Daphne refuses Berns’ sexual advances, he blacklists her, turning her stardom into infamy overnight. In order to regain the love of the public, she must first earn her coworkers’ respect and understand the struggle of underrepresented artists who dare to dream in the face of patriarchy and discrimination.
