anglais The Russians release war movies like a treadmill, but the thematically similar T-34 was a level above in terms of entertainment and action. Here, I didn't really care for the characters or their motivations, and while the action isn't the worst filmed, it lacked rawness and more visual glitz. Average. 60%. ()

anglais Although the film didn’t make me angry (I was in an oddly good mood), I couldn't deviate from the set course, and since I booed Fury and T-34, I couldn't back down this time either. I would expect Russian filmmakers to achieve greater historical accuracy regarding war technology, but they got everything wrong. It’s true that, to my delight, there wasn’t a single Tiger in the film, but I wouldn’t expect a long-barreled Pzkpfw IV with a muzzle brake and schürzen armor in 1942. It was similar in case of the T-34’s (the 1943 model). The whole time, I was missing any infantry or artillery (on both fronts) and the combat action was really pathetic. I don't think Captain Konovalov himself would recognize his story. All it would take would be to film combat action the way it really happened, and it would be a blast. A shame... ()
