Londres, 1997. (Chrysalis Films)

anglais At first I put this film off, but in the end it was a pleasant surprise. It's about the music industry, which I'm not very familiar with, but Nicholas Hoult's performance pulls it up, because his choleric nature will entertain you, not to mention the coke and the beautiful women, and most importantly, there are three amazing gore scenes, the last one being one of the best. A good film with an engaging story. I recommend 75% ()

anglais I'd hate for anyone to think I have anything against movies where there's constant drinking, snorting, fucking, swearing, and the occasional surprisingly brutal bleeding, but with this one I couldn't shake the feeling that I was listening to a nineteen-year-old McDonald's manager telling stories after his second beer that would put Hunter S. Thompson to shame. In short, you don't believe him and are gradually driven to apathy by all these extremes. The main problem, of course, is not that none of it is true (after all, that should never get in the way of a good story), the problem is that his entire life story is not well told. He doesn't have short subplots to keep you entertained while you're watching him, and he doesn't have the charisma to keep your mind from wandering back to that pretty waitress. ()
