Blessings

Ping! Blessings is a documentary taking you into a world, where likes, hashtags and emojis are of the utmost importance. The camera documents the life of a 16-year old school-girl and her social-media-engulfed day. The smart phone is present in every moment of her day: from brushing her teeth in the morning to the dinner in the evening. In her life, you have to be constantly active in the right channels, even if the adults don’t understand why. lessings is smart and visual just like the social media reality it captures. The youngsters are used to cameras and seem amazingly relaxed and natural in front of one. Blessings is a film about the relationships that the youth have with each other and with the adults in their lives: the teachers and the parents. For as the young seem to live deep in their social media networks, the physical presence of friends and family becomes ever more important.
